Job Overview

Our client is looking for a Finance Manager – Accounts Receivable(AR) to oversee the Accounts Receivable department within Finance Shared Services.

The successful candidate will be required to provide the business with financial analysis and information relating to the AR function and to manage an AR department according to sound financial systems, practices and processes that are compliant with relevant legislation, meet principles of international best practices and principles that will allow the business unit,division and company to achieve its strategic financial objectives.

REQUIREMENTS:

Relevant qualification in Finance, preferably a Chartered Accountant

5 years’ experience within a similar role

5 years’ management experience

Experience formulating and overseeing policies and procedures

Knowledge of relevant legislation

Knowledge Proficiency in relevant software packages and applications

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Design, implement and monitor policies, procedures and processes for the team and the division

Manage and ensure IFRS compliance and legal compliance

Establish and review the division’s financial integrity,performance and its AR reporting by managing mechanisms for budgeting,financial controls, accounting, collections and management of bad debts

Review AR reconciliations

Liaise with key clients

Review the preparation and revision of departmental budgets against the business plans

Prepare the cashflow budgets and forecasts relating to AR

Report monthly on variances between actuals, budgets and forecasts

Ensure that accurate financial analysis, reports and schedules are provided as required, including monthly management reports

Manage budget and resources

Continuously look at ways to reduce costs and improve efficiencies

Assist the CFO with providing advice to the Divisional or Company CEO and the senior management team on the division’s or company’s critical business issues e.g. preparation of business plans, collection risks and client-related risks

Research, prepare and present information to CFO/Divisional CEO’s as requested

Liaise with internal and external auditors as required

Assist the CFO with strategic financial management and projects
