Our client is looking for a Finance Manager: Reporting to join their growing team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Divisional Head with financial reporting, financial controls and governance, planning (forecasting and budgeting) and business support.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

Financial and management reporting – ensuring accuracy, completeness and relevance, including Board packs and external audit liaison

Budgeting and forecasting – adjusting financial plans in response to changes in the business environment or new information

Innovation and analytics – driving continuous improvement, automation and enhancement of financial information and business processes, and creating a sustainable solution for new requirements

Business insights – ensuring financial information is presented in a clear and concise manner and complex financial concepts are communicated well to non-financial stakeholders

Ad hoc support and financial analysis to ensure response to identified risk areas and topical issues

Governance – implementing, maintaining and improving financial control environment and policies

Managing and ensuring the data integrity and alignment of financial master data and any changes across all finance reporting platforms

Prescribing best practice accounting policies and operational accounting implementation to ensure the compliance of accounting provisions in terms of IFRS and legislation

Reviewing internal and external audit findings, and managing resolution and closure of findings

REQUIREMENTS:

CA (SA) with a minimum 2 + years post qualification experience

Previous experience of managing a team / process / project

Knowledge of SAP FI, BPC and BI advantageous

Strong leadership and interpersonal skills – must have the ability to manage and influence teams

Proven analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities, financial analysis and modelling

Strong collaboration, negotiation, communication, organisation, people management and conflict resolution skills

Pro-active approach to implementation of changes
