Our client is looking for a Fixed Asset Clerk to join their growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing all fixed asset additions and disposals to the Fixed Asset Register and ensuring it reconciles to the General Ledger.

REPORTING TO THE FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANT, RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

Reviewing supporting documents for all FAR assets and disposals to ensure the necessary authorisation has been provided

Recording all asset additions and disposals on the FAR and ensuring it is reflected after processing on Sage 300

Agreeing the Fixed Asset Register to the General Ledger and resolving discrepancies identified for cost and accumulated depreciation

Updating the Consolidated Capex Report weekly

Ensuring that the Capex Request Form received is aligned to the budget code on the Capex Report

Allocating all fixed asset additions to the relevant budget code and cost centre

Sourcing Capex Supplier statements (if required)

Ensuring that all received invoices contains necessary details for VAT purposes

Ensuring that suppliers are set up and active on Sage 300

Setting up Verification Sheets regarding payments to be made

Completing supplier reconciliations, if required

Running depreciation projections for use in budgeting and forecasting processes

REQUIREMENTS:

Accounting diploma/degree

1-2 years’ experience in a similar role

PC literate (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)

Accounting software package experience

An understanding of general ledger structures

Strong communication skills and interpersonal skills

Proficient in Microsoft Excel

Knowledge of accounting principles and practices
